Surf, Yoga and Sound Healing in Portugal

6th-13th June 2020

Coronavirus Update;

In short, we're not sure whether we can run our Portugal retreat at the moment. We're keeping our ears to the group and making decision based on the info we know week by week.

We'll keep you posted!  Scroll down to find out more info about the retreat.

And in the meantime we've created a place for you to access free yoga classes, meditations and workshops while you're stuck at home!

Most of you, right now, will be at home and perhaps dreaming of a tropical get away in the future, but with no idea of when that will be as the globe locks down to help reduce the risk or Coronavirus spreading.

Rachel and Lucy, The Pineapple House co-owners, have create a place for you to go to support your health and well being during this time.

Welcome to The Whole Health Project with Rachel and Lucy.

The Whole Health Project is a private Facebook Group where you'll find online yoga classes, meditations, workshops and lectures from Rachel and Lucy and also their favourite practitioners from around the world.

Watch, follow at home, learn and grow.  You can watch for free or, if you're feeling inspired, you can donate to each practitioner via their private PayPal link.  The Pineapple House doesn't take a cut for any donations to you to guest practitioners. We're all about supporting those who have a message and gift to share as well as supporting you during this time.

Here's some more info about our Portugal retreat...

We've been getting itchy feet...

The Pineapple House is spreading its wings and retreat offerings.  From tropical Bali we're travelling to Portugal in 2020!

Join Lucy Foster-Perkins, co-owner of The Pineapple House, as we explore the rugged, wild coastline of Aljezur, Portugal, for a 7 night Surf, Yoga and Sound Healing retreat 6th-13th June 2020.

As Europeans living in the tropics, we've been craving the dramatic cliff line of western Portugal, its wild forests and cooler seas.  Europe is calling us back, but we don't just want to explore South West Portugal on our own - I'd love for you to join us!

A little about the retreat;

As well as sharing our love for surfing, we also wanted to create a retreat that allows you to fully ground, reflect and rejuvenate as well.  That's why, as well as offering nourishing yoga and meditation classes, we're incorporating sound healing into this Pop-Up Portugal retreat as well!

Our accommodation will be nestled in the hills 15 minutes from Aljezur, South West Portugal.  We will be posting more photos in the next coming days, but as we've had so many people interested in this retreat we wanted to give you the opportunity to take advantage of the 10% discount as soon as possible.

How is this retreat different to our other retreats in Bali?

Other than being in beautiful Portugal, the main different about this retreat is that the whole week will be hosted by me, Lucy.   We will also be incorporating sound healing, meditation, guided walks and workshops into this nourishing week.

Everyone will be arriving and leaving on the 6th and leaving on the 13th June.   Unlike our Bali retreats, where each guest can choose their own unique schedule, with this retreat we will be moving more as one big family.  We'll all be surfing, eating and practicing yoga at the same time to ensure that the retreat flows seamlessly throughout the week.  If you're wanting a bit more solitude during your retreat then don't worry.  Every activity is totally optional and there will be plenty of time to relax, read your book, reflect and enjoy your own space.

We've created this retreat to truly help you land, rest, connect to nature and to leave inspired.  As well and the Surf, Yoga and Sound Healing, we'll also be holding optional guided walking meditation, journaling sessions and an Ayurveda basics workshop - all of which are practices that help us to reflect and come back to balance.

Who is this retreat not for?

If you're looking for a week a stone's throw away from the beach then this retreat is not for you.  Our accommodation is nestled in the hills and countryside about 20 minutes drive from the sea, so it'll be a short car journey if you wanted to pop down to the sea outside of lesson times.  With 5 surf lessons included and 2 other trips to the beach included for those who want to surf every day, you'll have plenty of time to get your toes wet.  If you're pumped to surf twice a day then we can help you to arrange a taxi to take to down to the beach outside of the arranged times. The cost of the taxi will be an additional charge.

If you don't like meeting and hanging out with new people and participating in group activities - like surfing, yoga and communal eating, then this might not be the retreat you're looking for.  The Pineapple House retreats have a magical way of attracting like-minded people and often our guests find long-lasting friendships in those they meet on our retreats.

Again, you'll have plenty of opportunities to find some solo time during the week, and all the activities are optional, but if you're not looking for a retreat where you'll meet new people and enjoy the retreat in a group then we suggest that this might not be the retreat for you.
